1. What are the warning labels and why do they matter?

The black warning label system on packaging was implemented in Peru through the Healthy Eating Law (Law No. 30021) and its regulations. A product carries a warning label when it exceeds established limits for:

🧈 Saturated fats Present in cookies and chocolate bars

Schools with healthy kiosks and many conscious parents avoid products with warning labels. The issue is that many traditional snacks for children — cookies, chocolate bars, packaged ice creams — carry one or more warnings.

2. Cocoa nibs: no sugar, no warning labels
