Traceability: Fundo Maranatha's commitment to transparency and quality

In today's global market, traceability has become the most powerful tool to build trust. It is not just about knowing where a product comes from, but about guaranteeing its full story. For us, meeting these standards is essential to ensure that our cacao is sustainable and of the highest quality.

1. Exact origin: our location on the map

Transparency begins with a point on the map. Our cacao plot is located in San José de Sisa, El Dorado, San Martín, Peru. We are not a collective or a cooperative: it is this farm, these hectares, these trees.

2. Full control of the supply chain

Unlike industrial models, at Fundo Maranatha we have eliminated the links that usually dilute quality:

3. Conservation and respect for the Amazon

Our environmental commitment is real and verifiable:

4. Fine aroma genetics and expansion

We cultivate 3 selected cacao varieties, of which 2 are recognized as fine aroma by the ICCO (International Cocoa Organization). By not mixing our cacao with beans from unknown origins, we ensure a superior and consistent flavor profile in every lot.

Coming soon: in the second half of 2026, we will expand production with an additional variety selected specifically for its fine aroma profile.

5. Social commitment: our team

We understand that Fundo Maranatha's success depends on the wellbeing of those who work the land. We focus on fair treatment and benefits for our team, because a valued worker produces better cacao. This principle is part of our traceability: the story of our cacao includes the hands that care for it.

6. Artisanal post-harvest process

We keep a detailed record of every stage. The post-harvest process is where quality is gained — or lost:

The result of this process is the foundation of all our products. If you want to experience it in its purest form, our 100% natural cocoa paste is the most concentrated expression: fermented, roasted and ground on the farm with no additives.

7. Origin-based fair trade: a direct relationship

For us, fair trade is not a label you buy: it is a daily practice. By not buying from collectors or selling through intermediaries, we achieve two fundamental things:

Buying from Fundo Maranatha means ensuring that the value of the product stays where it is born: in the field and in the hands of the producer.
