Our roasted peeled cacao starts from the same fermented and sun-dried beans we use in all our products. At the farm we artisan-roast it at controlled temperature to achieve the exact point of aroma and flavor, then dehusk it to deliver a clean bean, ready to use with no extra processing.
Roasting intensifies the cacao's aromatic compounds and reduces its natural bitterness. The result is a bean with a round flavor, deep aroma and crunchy texture that you can eat directly, prepare as a drink or use as a base in many recipes.
