Whole Roasted Cacao With Husk
S/ 28 – S/ 270
Artisan-roasted cacao at our farm, retaining its natural husk. A more rustic and economical option, ideal for making hot chocolate or cacao drinks at home or as raw material for artisan preparations.
What is whole roasted cacao with husk?
Whole roasted cacao with husk is the cacao bean that has been fermented, dried and artisan-roasted while keeping its natural husk intact. Also called whole roasted cacao or husk-on roasted cacao, unlike roasted peeled cacao, it does not go through the dehusking process, making it a more rustic yet complete presentation in terms of raw material.
The husk of the whole roasted cacao bean adds additional flavors and is an integral part of preparing traditional cacao drinks. Many people who prepare cacao at home prefer this version because it lets them control the process from the start: grinding the whole bean with husk, then straining or separating according to their preference.
